Below are details about continuing education and license renewal in Oregon.

Oregon Chiropractic Continuing Education Requirements: 20 hours are required per year, including active CPR certification. Only 8 hours are required the first year and must be in the following required subjects: 4 hours in OTC Drugs, 2 hours in Evidence-Based Medicine, 1 hour in Cultural Competency, and 1 hour in Suicide Prevention. In the second year, 20 hours are required and 7 hours must be in Pain Management, 2 in Cultural Competency, and 1 in Suicide Prevention. All subsequent years require 20 hours including 2 hours in Cultural Competency and 1 hour in Suicide Prevention. A maximum of 20 hours is allowed per 24 hour period. Oregon accepts all 8-20 hours in approved online continuing education courses. Licensee must attest completion on state board forms and are subject to audit. 

A Better Chiro continuing education is administered by Life Chiropractic College West, an accredited CCE College, and offers approved online courses for licensure with the Oregon Board of Chiropractic Examiners.
