New York Chiropractic Continuing Education Requirements: 36 hours are required per three-year renewal period. A minimum of 12 hours are required in Patient Communications, Record Keeping, Matters of Law, and/or Ethics. As of November 14th, 2024, New York accepts 12 hours in PACE approved online continuing education courses. Licensee must attest completion on state board forms and are subject to audit. 

Prohibited topics include: 

• Managing concussions
• Mental health issues and psychology
• Treating with stem cells injections
• Diagnosing diseases and treating diseases with nutrition
• Functional medicine
• Treating with genetics and epigenetics
• CBD, hemp oils and medical marijuana
• Treating addictions
• Treating depression, anxiety, ADHD, autism, dyslexia and learning disabilities
• Acupuncture
• Treating animals
• Practice management courses
• Ethics or law courses that review laws or ethics of states other than New York State

A Better Chiro is recognized by the PACE program of the Federation of Chiropractic Licensing Boards. We offer approved courses for licensure with the New York State Education Department and report completions to PACE within 5 days.
